Drug Commercials LOL

Just watched the commercial for an anti-depressant called Abilify.

There's pictures of happy looking middle aged women and what not, while the narrator spends the next 5 minutes talking:

"Call your doctor if your symptoms worsen or if you get thoughts of suicide.
Elderly patients with dementia taking Abilify increase their chances of death or stroke.
Call you doctor if you have high fever, stiff muscles, or confusion, as these may be signs of a life threatening reaction,
or uncontrollable muscle movements, as these can become permanent.
In some cases, high blood pressure can lead to coma or death.
Other risks include dizziness upon standing, decreases in white blood cells which can be serious, seizures, impaired judgment or motor skills, or trouble swallowing."

In other words, if you take Abilify you won't have depression anymore because it's more likely you'll be dead!

How much do companies pay for these retarded commercials?

It's just too funny.

Late Night Debate

Just finished a couple of hours debating my father and some of the rest of my family. It's always me by myself against a whole other bunch of people trying to correct my 'heretic' ways. =)

The gist of it.

1. I believe Jesus' words are sufficient in themselves.
ie. we don't 'need' other people's teachings.

2. I believe prayer is not about asking. It's about doing.
ie. in other words, it should - and can - only be a one-way transaction.

3. I believe a well thought-out Christianity
is a better Christianity.
ie. if you don't use sound logic, don't bother arguing your point;
come again only when you've
fixed the legs of your chair.

Any yayers or naysayers? Engage me, I love a good debate.
But please, I'm tired of people who speak sans logic.

(*I'm a nice guy, who just wants to stand corrected by an intelligent argument! Help me!)
